Data Analyst

Through membership in GHA, hotel brands expand their global reach, drive incremental revenue by sharing customer data, and reduce dependence on third-party channels, all while maintaining management independence and individual positioning.Our corporate website can be found at www.globalhotelalliance.com and our consumer website is at www.ghadiscovery.comDuties and ResponsibilitiesThis is a Data Analyst role, where you will build and apply foundational expertise in transforming data into actionable insights. You will contribute to solving business challenges by applying analytical techniques, supporting data and AI innovative solutions, and learning to navigate complex datasets. Your role will focus on executing tasks with precision, while mastering your ability to identify trends and communicate findings effectively.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and assist in translating business requirements into technical specifications.Perform data analysis using SQL and BI tools (e.g., Power BI) to identify trends, generate reports, and create visualizations that support decision-making.Ensure data integrity by validating, cleansing, and organizing datasets from multiple sources.Assist in building new prototypes, maintaining and enhancing existing dashboards, reports. At the same time, be involved in end-to-end data projects, from requirements gathering, data modeling, reports prototyping and designing data pipelines.Assist in the building of Data Literacy across the organization in order to improve self-serve capabilities for business teams.Troubleshoot data discrepancies and work with Stakeholders and Data Engineers to resolve issues in a timely manner.Support senior analysts and business stakeholders in ad-hoc projects, including data blending, prototyping, quality assurance tasks, and presentation decks.Document processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing across teams.Education, Qualifications, and Requirements:Bachelor’s in Computer Science (CS), Information System (IS), Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.2-4 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence. Exposure to Power BI or similar tools is preferred.Excellent stakeholder management attributes, demonstrating the ability and confidence to collaborate, challenge and influence at a senior level.Proficiency in SQL and MS Excel for querying and manipulating data. Familiarity with Python for data analysis is a plus.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings clearly.Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in deliverables.A proactive team player with strong communication skills, skilled at mentoring colleagues and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow within a dynamic analytics team.Previous experiences in AI, and hospitality or travel industries are advantageous.The ideal candidate will share our company values, will be self-motivated, and someone who takes their own development seriously.
