Data Analyst

Workforce Data Analyst will support workforce initiatives under RI's federally funded Rural Health Transformation Program. The role focuses on data collection, management, analysis, visualization, reporting, and program evaluation to help inform workforce strategy and program implementation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain data collection, tracking, reporting, and visualization systems for RHTP workforce projects.Collect, organize, validate, analyze, and integrate workforce data across multiple initiatives.Develop and support common data definitions, performance measures, reporting standards, and data-quality processes.Prepare dashboards, reports, presentations, visualizations, and analytical summaries.Identify trends and translate data findings into actionable insights for program planning and evaluation.Support federal grant reporting, performance monitoring, and program evaluation.Collaborate with project teams, grantees, vendors, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and other partners to ensure accurate and timely data.Research and incorporate relevant healthcare, workforce, education, demographic, geographic, and labor-market data.Support identification and qualification of rural and rural-serving healthcare providers.Coordinate workforce data activities with broader EOHHS health workforce and healthcare planning efforts.Maintain appropriate documentation and follow applicable data governance, confidentiality, and records-management requirements.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Health Informatics, Public Policy, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Information Systems, or a related field.Experience through employment or internships involving data analysis, reporting, research, performance measurement, program evaluation, healthcare, workforce development, education, or public service.Strong knowledge of data collection, management, analysis, visualization, and reporting.Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, data visualization platforms, and analytical tools.Strong analytical, research, communication, writing, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsExperience with federal grant reporting and performance monitoring.Familiarity with Rhode Island state administrative data, reporting processes, and data systems.Knowledge of RI's healthcare, workforce, education, demographic, and public-sector landscape.Experience working with healthcare workforce or rural health programs.Ideal CandidateA strong candidate will have a combination of data analytics + healthcare/workforce program experience, with the ability to turn complex workforce data into clear dashboards, reports, and actionable recommendations.
