Data Analyst

Job PurposeThe Data Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing advanced machine learning-based tools and processes tailored to the needs of the SABIS® Network and its affiliated schools, as well as conducting comprehensive statistical analyses to drive actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Applying data mining techniques, elaborating statistical analysis, and building prediction systems integrated within SABIS® productsGathering, cleaning, and visualizing information from various sources and analyzing it to achieve a better understanding of the business’ performance and how to build tools that automate certain processes within the businessCreating dashboards to monitor the company’s performance and results and presenting data insights to non-technical stakeholdersCompiling reports and presenting findings to senior analysts or managementUsing statistical tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R) to analyze and interpret dataSelecting and applying machine learning algorithms and techniques for different types of business needs (optimization, classification, clustering, prediction, hypothesis testing, anomaly detection, etc.)Enhancing current products and systems by analyzing the product’s use and discovering the information hidden in its dataSelecting features and building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniquesEnhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant to building analytic systemsMining and analyzing data from company databases to discover insights, identify business opportunities, and optimize and improve product development, marketing techniques, and business strategiesUsing machine learning algorithms to analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns, propose optimized alternatives, classify and cluster data, detect anomalies, develop prediction models, and perform hypothesis analysisWorking with data warehousing engineering in order to clean and filter data and review reports, dashboards, and KPIs for the purpose of enabling the location and correction of issues within the businessPerforming other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by the ManagementIdeal Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Computing, or Computer EngineeringMaster’s degree in mathematics, Data Science, or their equivalent is a plusEnglish and Arabic ProficientA minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a relevant fieldData Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data, Analytics certificates, or their equivalentProfessional behavior and ethical conductDelivering resultsContinuous learning and improvementAccountability and taking ownershipAttention to detail and accuracyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with regional and cross-functional teamsAnalytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in programming languages like Python, R, and SQLFamiliarity with the use of data visualization toolsStrong understanding of statistical methods and concepts
