Data Analyst

You will have close interaction with teams in marketing, sales, finance, and product. You will work in a fast-paced environment that is professional, international and entrepreneurial.

Key Responsibilities

Access data, construct and manipulate large datasets to support planned analyses using SQL, Python and similar toolsDesign and develop BI dashboards using Sisense or similar tools (Tableau, PowerBI, DataStudio) for various organisational metrics and indicators using best practices and industry standards in finance, sales, inventory, and other areasHelp with defining KPI metrics and drive data governance through standardisation and communicationCreate the documentation and presentation for managementDevelop analysis and reporting capabilities; monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvementsBe adept at queries, report writing and presenting findingsResearch and validate entity data using appropriate internal and external data sourcesLiaise and analyse projects within the Reference Data environmentAnalyse, specify, test and implement interfaces, workflow solutions, and reference data solutions - An example would be regression testing systems ahead of upgradesParticipate in the design, implementation and interpretation of experiments/trials for continuous refinement of ongoing strategiesResponsible for data quality and timely delivery of reports that make common business senseParticipate in Analytics & Reporting trainings to evangelize data across the organizationBe able to work autonomously without supervisionRequirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related fieldMaster's degree is a plusExperience:Minimum 3 years of work experience in analytics, having worked closely with products and commercials in an internet/e-commerce companyExperience in e-commerce, internet, and/or digital mediaKnowledge:Extensive experience with SQLProficient in Microsoft ExcelExperience working with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Periscope, Tableau, etc.)Skills in Python, R or similar tools are a big plusKnowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc)Skills:Good analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to translate data and information into actionable insights and business recommendationsStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracyGood attention to detailWritten and verbal proficiency in EnglishTraits:Proactive and passionate: You are independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems and delivering high-quality results in challenging situationsPassion for data and metricsHands-on attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentHighly motivated, professional, creative, proactive and able to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse groupAnalytical thinking, Conceptual thinking, Detail-oriented, Business AcumenStrong curiosity and striving for continuous learningThrive in a fast-paced, innovative environmentLiving the team values: Simpler.
