Data Analyst

Brief description:The role involves analytics for commodity procurement. It will involve data identification & collation from various sources / stakeholders, data crunching, identifying and representing relevant analytical data through dashboards / presentations / reports based on the requirement for Commodity Procurement for Olam Agri. The primary focus will be analysis of commodity price, trends, stock availability, shipment planning, stocks in transshipment port, shipments incurring demurrage etcSkills:Communication skillsAnalytical skillsGood with managing large data sets with numbersAccustomed to cross-linking data sets extracted from various ERPs, reports, shared files and similar systems & finally representing itProficient with excelPower BI knowledge and usage is a plusPrepare reports through PPT and other MS office suite productsJob description:Conduct a comprehensive analysis of price, costs and assist the trader with (analysis of commodity price, trends, stock availability, shipment planning, stocks in transshipment port, shipments incurring demurrage, freight rate analysis, supplier performance etc.Data collation & collection, assimilation, crunching, segmenting and driving analytics to help business in taking informed decisionsData will need to be derived from various sources: System (ERP, SharePoint, etc), Financial, Carriers, suppliers and a variety of stakeholders would need to be engaged. Collaborate across functions to obtain data and produce it as per the requirement from stakeholders.Knowledge of power BI would an advantage.May be required to discuss, clearly articulate the requirement to the stakeholder (through written emails, TEAMS calls, etc) and obtain the desired dataMay need to educate and ensure the stakeholder in the manner of collating, maintaining and entering the data into the relevant systemsReview the collated data, identify & analyze it to obtain the desired resultPrepare reports / dashboards as required by the project / process and share this with the stakeholder within the stipulated time
