You’ll manage recurring and ad-hoc analyses end-to-end, build and maintain the SQL- and Python-driven queries and scripts behind our dashboards, and turn data from multiple sources into the insights and recommendations that shape how we optimize campaigns. You’ll partner closely with our Data Analytics, Media, and Account Services teams, become the go-to expert on each client’s data sources, and grow into more strategic, client-facing measurement work as you build your expertise in brand and media performance analytics.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalysis & Reporting: Lead recurring and ad-hoc analysis and optimization requests, using a defined set of KPIs to surface insights from website, campaign, and media performance data, including user behavior, traffic, and conversion trends, across brands.Measurement & Testing: Support the design of measurement plans, testing frameworks, and learning agendas for client campaigns, and develop trend reports that align with business objectives and media strategies.Data Management & Automation: Write and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts to pull, clean, and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources (media, CRM, website, and other platforms) for reporting.Media Data Literacy: Build a working understanding of digital media and advertising platforms across Search, Display, Social, CTV and OLV, and how that data flows into our dashboards and client deliverables.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other areas of the agency, including Media, Creative, Account Services and Strategy, and coordinate with the Data Analytics team to keep data collection aligned with client KPIs and objectives.Client Data Expertise: Become a go-to resource on each client’s data sources and reporting nuances, fielding ad-hoc data requests as they arise.Quality & Accuracy: Check data and reports for accuracy, catching and flagging discrepancies before they reach clients.Best Practices: Follow data handling and storage best practices to maintain data privacy and security standards.Tools & TechnologiesLanguages & Data Handling: Python and SQLReporting & Visualization: Experience with BI visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Google Data Studio (aka Looker Studio)Media & Advertising Data: Exposure to media/advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, or programmatic/DSP data is preferredCloud & Data Infrastructure: Exposure to Azure-based data tools (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Databricks) and CRM or media hub data is a plusSpreadsheets & Ad-Hoc Analysis: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for quick-turnaround analysisQualificationsBachelor’s degree in data science, business analytics, statistics, economics, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).2–3 years of experience working with SQL and Python in an analytics or reporting role2-3 years of experience using marketing or media data in analysis workSolid working knowledge of SQL and Python for data analysis and reporting, with strong attention to detail when working with large datasetsExcellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate technical findings into clear, client-friendly presentations and reports for non-technical stakeholdersStrong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced agency environmentExperience or interest in pharma or healthcare marketing is a plusAt Deerfield, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic work environment, so if this role and our culture excite you, we encourage you to apply even if you do not have the exact experience or meet all requirements outlined in this job posting.
