Data Analyst, Payments - Crypto Exchange (Mandarin Speaking)

We are exclusively partnering with one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges to appoint an experienced Data Analyst to join their global Payments team.This is an opportunity to work with one of the fastest-growing digital asset businesses in the industry, helping shape the performance and scalability of a global payments infrastructure that supports millions of users worldwide. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations and Commercial teams, delivering data-driven insights that improve payment performance, optimise costs and enhance customer experience.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse payment transaction data to identify trends across transaction volumes, success rates, conversion funnels, settlement performance and revenue generation.Build, develop and maintain dashboards and automated reporting that provide clear visibility of payment KPIs and operational performance.Conduct detailed analysis of payment channels, identifying opportunities to improve conversion, reduce costs and optimise payment routing.Monitor data quality across payment systems, proactively identifying inconsistencies and ensuring the integrity of reporting.Partner with Product and Business teams to deliver ad-hoc analysis, evaluate product initiatives, measure A/B testing results and assess commercial impact.Design, maintain and enhance payment-related data models and ETL processes to support scalable reporting.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish consistent metrics, standardise reporting frameworks and improve data governance.Translate complex datasets into clear commercial insights, providing recommendations that influence strategic business decisions and support future growth initiatives.RequirementsFluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is essential.5+ years' experience within Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or a similar analytical role.Previous experience within payments, fintech, digital banking or financial services is essential.Advanced SQL skills with strong proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.Experience using modern BI and visualisation tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI or equivalent.Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including card acquiring, payment processing, settlement, digital wallets and alternative payment methods.Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to transform complex data into actionable business recommendations.High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity.Comfortable working autonomously within a globally distributed team across multiple time zones.Desirable ExperienceExposure to card issuing, payment acquiring, digital banking or embedded finance products.Experience applying statistical analysis, forecasting or machine learning techniques to commercial datasets.Previous experience within a high-growth technology business, fintech or cryptocurrency exchange environment.
