Apply & track with Apply EdgeA Fortune 500 investment firm is seeking a Data Analyst to join its Transformation Office and support enterprise planning, forecasting, and reporting initiatives. This role will focus on transforming operational and planning data into meaningful executive-level dashboards, reports, and actionable insights that help leaders make informed business decisions. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in data analysis and visualization, understands PMO and program management practices, enjoys building reporting solutions from the ground up, and can identify trends and summarize findings from complex datasets.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and enhance clean, intuitive, and executive-level dashboards and reports using Power BI to support planning, forecasting, and operational decision-making.Analyze and manipulate large datasets using Excel and other reporting tools to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.Build reporting solutions from scratch by combining data from multiple sources, including Planview, SharePoint, and other planning and operational systems.Interpret data findings and summarize results into clear, concise reporting for business leaders and stakeholders.Partner directly with senior project, program, and portfolio leaders to gather reporting requirements, clarify data needs, and translate them into meaningful dashboards and visualizations.Support planning and forecasting activities by organizing, analyzing, and presenting business data in an accessible format.Respond to real-time data requests and independently work through ambiguous business needs, providing recommendations when requirements are not fully defined.Develop reporting related to resource capacity, project roll-off timing, initiative status, execution trends, and overall program performance.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.7–10 years of experience in data analysis, business reporting, or business intelligence.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, data modeling, and complex formulas.Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining polished, user-friendly executive dashboards using Power BI.Experience with Power BI data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), and data visualization best practices.Proficiency in SQL for querying, validating, and analyzing data.Experience gathering, transforming, and analyzing data from multiple business systems.Ability to identify trends, interpret results, and communicate key findings to business stakeholders.Strong understanding of PMO practices, project and program management terminology, and the program management lifecycle.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to independently gather requirements from and present findings to senior leaders.Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to turn ambiguous requests into clear reporting solutions without requiring extensive direction.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting planning, forecasting, or operational reporting initiatives.Experience working with capacity planning or demand management data.Familiarity with Planview or similar project portfolio management (PPM) platforms; direct Planview experience is highly desirable but not required.Background supporting enterprise operations, workforce planning, or people services organizations.Experience within financial services or another highly regulated industry is a plus.
