Apply & track with Apply EdgeOur client is a IT Outsourcing company in Ras Al Khaima, UAE.We are seeking a highly analytical and decisive Sports Data Analyst to join our fast-paced Risk & Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for real-time sports market pricing, exposure management, and live data analysis. You will work with quantitative mathematical models to dynamically evaluate risk, optimize performance metrics, and ensure the stability of our data pricing ecosystem across major global sporting events.Key Responsibilities1. Live Pricing & Market ExecutionMonitor real-time sports data feeds and dynamically adjust pricing models based on live event developments and market liquidity.Manage pre-event and real-time market feeds to balance risk liabilities and maintain target operational margins.Execute rapid pricing decisions and market suspensions during high-volatility event triggers (e.g., key match milestones, momentum shifts, and critical refereeing decisions).2. Risk Management & Exposure ControlTrack real-time risk exposure across various sports events, markets, and client profiles to mitigate potential financial loss.Analyze market movements to identify trading anomalies, automated statistical arbitrage, or coordinated trading patterns.Apply client risk profiling metrics and exposure limits in collaboration with the Compliance & Analytics team.3. Data Analysis & Performance OptimizationUtilize post-event performance metrics to audit yield, liability distributions, and pricing accuracy.Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to refine mathematical pricing algorithms and predictive statistical models.Evaluate third-party sports data APIs and real-time feed providers for latency, accuracy, and operational efficiency.Requirements & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.Strong foundation in probability theory, expected value ($EV$), game theory, and financial risk management principles.Advanced MS Excel skills (VBA, complex logic, data manipulation).Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R for data query and statistical modeling is highly advantageous.Ability to make split-second, logic-driven decisions in high-stress, real-time environments.Strong interest in trading (crypto, stock, forex, etc) or sport; and deep understanding of statistical modeling, probability distributions, and quantitative spread pricing.Willingness to work on flexible rotation shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays aligned with global live sports schedules.What We OfferCompetitive compensation package with shift differentials and performance bonuses.Full visa sponsorship, relocation assistance, housing support, and comprehensive health insurance.Fast-track career growth in quantitative analytics and data-driven risk management.
