Location: New York, NYEmployment Type: Full-Time / Direct HireCompensation: $100,000–$230,000 annuallyMust be able to speak MandarinPosition OverviewA global financial services organization is seeking an experienced Vice President of Data Analytics to support enterprise-wide analytics initiatives and help transform complex data into actionable business insights.This position will work across business functions to develop dashboards, perform advanced analysis, introduce Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence solutions, automate analytical processes and provide executives with data-driven recommendations.The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on technical capabilities in SQL, Python, Business Intelligence and Machine Learning/AI with the communication and business acumen required to work directly with senior stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Intelligence & Dashboard DevelopmentDesign, develop and maintain interactive Business Intelligence and executive-level dashboards.Build data visualizations that effectively communicate business performance, risk indicators, trends and potential issues.Develop KPI and KRI reporting that enables management to quickly understand organizational performance.Translate complex datasets into clear and useful information for business stakeholders.Data AnalyticsAnalyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and business opportunities.Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations.Identify root causes behind performance or risk issues through data analysis.Develop analytical approaches that support data-driven business decisions and continuous improvement.Machine Learning & Artificial IntelligenceIdentify business problems that can be addressed through Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics.Develop predictive models and other advanced analytical solutions.Apply ML/AI techniques to improve business performance, operational efficiency and risk identification.Support experimentation and A/B testing.Monitor analytical and Machine Learning models to evaluate ongoing effectiveness and performance.Analytics & Reporting AutomationIdentify opportunities to automate recurring analytical and reporting processes.Develop solutions that reduce manual work and improve reporting efficiency.Improve the accuracy, consistency and timeliness of data delivery.Partner with appropriate technical and business teams to implement scalable analytical solutions.Stakeholder PartnershipWork directly with business leaders and executives to understand their reporting and analytical requirements.Translate business problems into appropriate data and analytical solutions.Present findings, recommendations and analytical solutions to management.Develop executive-level presentations explaining analytical results in a clear and concise manner.Promote analytics best practices and encourage broader adoption of data and analytical technologies throughout the organization.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.Minimum 5 years of professional data analytics experience.Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python.Minimum 3 years of dashboard development experience.Experience with Business Intelligence and data visualization technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik or comparable platforms.Minimum 2 years of Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence experience.Experience developing or supporting predictive analytical models.Strong analytical, statistical and problem-solving capabilities.Experience communicating analytical findings to business stakeholders and senior leadership.Project management experience.Financial services industry experience required.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred QualificationsPrevious banking industry experience.Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science or another relevant quantitative discipline.Experience developing executive-level KPI/KRI dashboards.Experience with predictive modeling, experimentation and A/B testing.Experience implementing automated analytical or reporting processes.Experience presenting complex analytical findings to executive stakeholders.
