Job description and responsibilitiesPrimary responsibilitiesDevelop machine learning models and algorithms, and advanced statistical models to identify trends and patterns in large amounts of dataDevelop and test hypotheses to present data-driven solutions and for business challengesProvide data-driven recommendations and actionable insights based on analytics doneLead the integration of data science in various practice areasPerform exploratory data analysis (EDA)Gather, organize, clean, transform, and load available dataSecondary responsibilitiesDesign interactive reports, dashboards (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau), and other data visualizations to present key insightsAssist in designing and executing workshops to upskill stakeholders in data analytics, machine learning, statistics, and other technical skillsSpearhead business development initiativesSkills and qualificationsQualificationsUndergraduate or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or any related field, or at least 1 year of relevant work experienceDomain knowledge in various industries, business, economics, finance, or accounting is highly preferableSkillsExperienced in data cleaning, data manipulation, and ETL procedures, especially for large data setsExperienced or knowledgeable in machine learning model and algorithm development (e.g. supervised and unsupervised models)Experienced or knowledgeable in statistical and mathematical tools/techniquesProficient in coding languages such as Python, R, and SQLProficient in other data analytics tools such as Excel, Power Query, Tableau / Power BI and DAX functionsKnowledgeable in data visualization, data storytelling, project managementStrong oral and written communication and presentation skillsCritical thinking and problem solving skillsFlexible and agile
