We also offer the option to work remotely for certain key roles.New technologies to play with: You’ll work with the latest in Enterprise & E-commerce tech, headless commerce, open source, microservices, Java Spring Boot and Spring Cloud, React Native apps, React frontend and a host of the latest cloud-native technologies hosted on Azure Cloud.Focus on learning and growth: Excellent remuneration and perks are part of the package, but we also budget ample time and resources for training and upskilling.Fun at work: You’ll enjoy our well-equipped breakrooms (FIFA and pool are huge favorites), team events, celebrations and a host of other amenities.Job Purpose:Landmark Group is looking for a Azure Data Architect to join the Data Team in Landmark Digital.As a Data Architect, you willArchitect Scalable Data Solutions: Design and lead the implementation of end-to-end Azure data architectures that are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.Drive Data Strategy & Governance: Establish data architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices across the Azure data ecosystem.Collaborate Across Stakeholders: Act as a technical leader, working closely with engineering, analytics, DevOps, and business teams to ensure cohesive and future-proof data solutions.Job Description:Responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of data solutions as an expert Azure Data architect with 8-10 years of experience.Continuously Evolve Data Architecture: Evaluate and enhance the existing Azure data platform architecture to ensure it remains scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving business and technology needs.Define Data Strategy & Best Practices: Develop and enforce best practices for data management, integration, and modelling across the Azure platform, ensuring consistency and quality in all data processes.Data Integration & Modelling: Guide data modelling practices (relational, dimensional, NoSQL) and optimize integration pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources across the platform.Ensure Security, Compliance & Governance: Maintain and improve data governance, access control, and security protocols using tools like Azure Purview, Azure AD, and Key Vault.Optimize Performance & Cost: Monitor system performance and resource utilization; implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce Azure consumption costs.Mentor & Guide Technical Teams: Serve as the architectural point of contact for technical teams, conducting reviews, resolving design conflicts, and enabling capability building across teams.Apply your deep understanding of the retail domain to enhance data strategies and solutions for retail-specific challenges.Play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's data-driven journey, driving innovation through data analytics and insights.Optimize data storage, processing and retrieval mechanisms for performance, cost, and scalability using data storage services (such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, etc.), data processing services (such as Azure Data Bricks, Azure Synapse, etc.) and data visualization (PowerBI, Qlik, etc.) & integration services (Data API builder, logic apps, etc.)Monitor and troubleshoot data platform performance, identify and resolve issues, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, or other relevant tools.Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud data services and provide recommendations on adopting new technologies or features to enhance the data platform.Document technical designs, procedures, and guidelines for data platform engineering and operationsExperience Required:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Proven 10+ years experience playing the role of a Data architect in a high data volume, multi cloud, complex integrated environmentExperience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar frameworks.Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with cloud infrastructure management and provisioning.Solid understanding of network security concepts and technologies (such as firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, etc.) and data security concepts and technologies (such as access controls, encryption, observability, privacy laws/regulations, etc.)Experience in a Retail setup is preferred
