Apply & track with Apply EdgeOur client is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial and contractual management of major Data Centre and MEP construction projects in Dubai. The role will oversee cost control, contracts, procurement, commercial risk, variations, claims and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesLead commercial management across Data Centre projects from pre-construction through completion.Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, cash flow and commercial reporting.Administer main contracts and subcontract agreements, ensuring contractual compliance.Lead tendering, procurement, commercial evaluations and contract negotiations.Review and manage variations, claims, change orders, extensions of time and final accounts.Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks.Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance and commercial obligations.Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Consultants and Clients.Provide commercial advice to senior project stakeholders and support effective decision-making.Drive cost efficiency, value engineering and commercial optimisation.Prepare regular commercial reports, forecasts and financial assessments.RequirementsMinimum 10+ years of commercial / quantity surveying experience, preferably across large-scale construction or complex engineering projects.Data Centre experience is a must.Strong experience across both pre- and post-contract commercial management.Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, cost management, variations, claims and final accounts.Experience with MEP and technically complex construction packages is highly desirable.Strong contract negotiation and stakeholder management skills.Excellent commercial, analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong knowledge of FIDIC or other major construction contract forms.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and commercial/cost management systems.UAE/GCC experience is advantageous.Professional qualification such as MRICS, RICS, or equivalent is preferred.
