In this role, you own that moment from day one.You’ll lead full life-cycle commissioning for high-impact data center projects, making sure every system is planned, tested, validated, and documented to perform exactly as designed.Power, cooling, controls, life safety – you pull it all together.If you’ve commissioned complex data centers or mission-critical facilities and want to run the show, we want to talk to you.What You'll Work OnYou’ll be the go-to commissioning lead for large, mission-critical data center builds:Full Level 1–5 commissioning for data center projectsMechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systemsFire and life safety systemsControls and monitoring systemsIntegrated systems testing (IST)Factory witness testing (FWT)Site acceptance testing (SAT)Turnover, client training, and operational readinessYour mission: prove these facilities can take the load, stay online, and meet every requirement before the first customer ever plugs in.What You'll Be DoingLeading the full life-cycle commissioning process for mission-critical data center projects (Level 1–5)Developing and managing commissioning plans, schedules, and test scriptsCoordinating daily with design engineers, construction teams, vendors, and clientsOverseeing MEP, fire/life safety, controls, and integrated systems testingEnsuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirementsManaging FWT, SAT, and IST activities through successful completionReviewing and approving commissioning documentation, reports, and turnover packagesIdentifying risks and deficiencies, driving issues to resolution and closeoutSupporting client training, handover, and operational readinessProviding leadership and mentorship to commissioning engineers and agentsPerforming regular site walkdowns in active construction environmentsSupporting night and weekend testing events during critical phasesWhat We're Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience7+ years of experience in data center commissioning or mission-critical facilitiesStrong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data centersExperience with integrated systems testing and phased commissioningAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExcellent communication, coordination, and leadership skillsOSHA 30 Construction certificationWillingness to travel to project sites as requiredRelevant certifications such as PMP, CCP, ASHRAE CPMP, LEED AP, CxA, or similar are a plusFamiliarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE, and Uptime Institute standards preferredThe Experience That Will Really Get Our AttentionYou’ve been the commissioning authority on hyperscale or colocation data centers, comfortable owning FWT, SAT, and IST across power and cooling.
