Our partner is looking for a Data Center, GM based in the United States.This is a senior leadership opportunity overseeing critical data center operations across a growing Midwest regional footprint, beginning with a site in Missouri.You’ll have end-to-end ownership of operational performance, reliability, safety, compliance, and team development across multiple facilities.The role combines hands-on operational leadership with regional responsibility in a high-availability, hyperscale-style environment.You’ll build and lead data center management teams while establishing scalable processes and operational excellence frameworks.As the primary operational interface for vendors, utilities, and service providers, you’ll play a central role in ensuring dependable infrastructure and service delivery.You’ll also work closely with engineering, networking, and hardware teams to support capacity expansion and the development of additional sites.This is an opportunity to shape large-scale infrastructure supporting the rapidly evolving AI economy while operating with significant ownership and autonomy.AccountabilitiesOwn end-to-end data center operations across the region, covering critical facilities, IT infrastructure, reliability, performance, and service-level delivery.Lead the transition from a single-site operation to a multi-site regional footprint, supporting expansion into additional U.S. locations.Hire, manage, mentor, and develop data center managers and operational teams, building a strong culture of accountability and operational excellence.Serve as the primary operational interface with external partners, including vendors, utilities, service providers, and other stakeholders.Drive incident response, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and process standardization to strengthen reliability and operational performance.Establish and maintain operational excellence frameworks, monitoring practices, reporting mechanisms, and performance visibility across sites.Ensure data center operations meet applicable safety, compliance, regulatory, and operational requirements.Partner with engineering, network, hardware, and other internal teams to support capacity delivery, infrastructure readiness, and site expansion.Manage critical environment infrastructure, including power, cooling, and environmental systems, to maintain highly available operations.Support new site development and regional expansion while maintaining consistent operational standards across the growing portfolio.Requirements10+ years of experience in data center, mission-critical, or comparable high-availability operations.Proven experience leading data center operations teams, site managers, and multidisciplinary technical teams.Strong understanding of critical environment infrastructure, including power, cooling, environmental systems, and related facility operations.Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors, utilities, service providers, and other external stakeholders.Track record of operating successfully in large-scale, high-availability environments where reliability and uptime are critical.Strong leadership capabilities, with experience building, scaling, and developing high-performing operational organizations.Ability to operate with a high degree of ownership, accountability, autonomy, and sound operational judgment.Experience in hyperscale environments and/or managing multi-site or regional operations is highly desirable.Familiarity with server hardware, rack infrastructure, Linux systems, and basic networking concepts such as DHCP and DNS is preferred.Knowledge of monitoring systems, operational metrics, and performance analysis.Experience supporting data center expansions, new site builds, or infrastructure deployment programs is preferred.Strong communication, stakeholder-management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.BenefitsBase salary: $200,000–$250,000 USD.Competitive total compensation based on experience, skills, qualifications, level, and geographic location.100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and families.401(k) plan with up to 4% employer match and immediate vesting.20 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers and 12 weeks for secondary caregivers.Up to $85 per month toward mobile and internet expenses.Company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance.Career growth and ongoing learning opportunities.Flexible work environment with significant ownership and autonomy.Collaborative, innovative, and international working environment.Opportunity to contribute to impactful AI infrastructure projects and help shape the future of large-scale AI computing.How Jobgether WorksWe use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
