Location: Dammam, Saudi ArabiaWorking Environment: Mission-Critical, 24x7x365Summary: The Data Center Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, reliability, and optimization of all mechanical systems within the data center facility.

This role ensures continuous availability of critical cooling infrastructure, HVAC systems, chilled water systems, pumps, CRAC/CRAH units, and other mechanical equipment supporting mission-critical operations. The engineer plays a key role in maintaining uptime, supporting capacity planning, executing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operate, maintain and troubleshoot chillers, CRAH/CRAC, FCUs, chilled water pumps, cooling towers, HVAC, heat exchangers, water treatment and fuel systemsExecute preventive/corrective maintenance and prepare MOPs in accordance with OEM requirementsPerform authorized equipment shutdown, startup, isolation, restoration and redundancy rotationMonitor cooling system performance, equipment condition, temperatures, pressures and flowSupervise mechanical technicians and coordinate with OEMs/vendors for major maintenance and equipment failuresRespond to mechanical emergencies and support RCA, corrective and preventive actionsMaintain cooling redundancy, reliability and operational resilienceExecute approved changes and support testing, commissioning and system optimizationManage critical spare parts, tools, testing equipment and calibration recordsEnsure compliance with HSE, SOPs, MOPs, EOPs and site procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 5 years of data center/mission-critical facilities experienceStrong experience with chillers, CRAH/CRAC, chilled water systems, pumps and HVACTier III/Tier IV data center experience preferredStrong troubleshooting, communication and team leadership skillsExperience managing technicians, OEMs and contractorsAbility to work under pressure, shifts and on-call requirements.Preferred Certifications/Training:CDCP or equivalent, Uptime Institute, DCOM/ATS, HVAC/Chiller OEM training, LOTO, HSE and Crisis/Incident Management.All interested applicants can also email their CVs to careers.escl@dhowsolutions.com with a subject line of “Data Center Mechanical Engineer” mentioning their availability.
