Data Center Operator

Position SummaryThis is an on-site position based in Corpus Christi, Texas, and is scheduled for the overnight shift of 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.The Data Center Operator plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of Peak Mining’s data center facilities. This role is responsible for supporting the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ASIC mining hardware, as well as related network and power infrastructure.Operators ensure efficient and safe site operations by monitoring systems, performing preventative maintenance, repairing hardware, and supporting infrastructure deployments. This position requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with site operations teams.The Data Center Operator will also assist with equipment installations, deliveries, documentation, and maintaining an organized and safe workspace throughout the facility.We are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to develop their technical skills and grow with our team. This role offers hands-on experience and a strong foundation for a career in data center and mining operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy, install, and maintain ASIC mining servers and related infrastructureTroubleshoot and repair hardware and technical issues across mining equipment and supporting systemsPerform routine and preventative maintenance on machines and systemsUtilize monitoring software to track system performance and identify issuesAssist with deployment of new hardware, infrastructure upgrades, and system implementationsSupport administration, monitoring, and maintenance of network and server environmentsAccept equipment deliveries and assist with inventory tracking and RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) preparationMaintain accurate documentation, reporting, and maintenance recordsCollaborate with site leadership and team members to resolve operational issuesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentParticipate in troubleshooting and response to operational issues across the siteAssist with additional operational or technical tasks as assigned by the Site ManagerMinimum QualificationsExperience working with computer hardware or technical troubleshootingExperience collaborating with teams to complete operational or technical tasksStrong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative in diagnosing and resolving technical issuesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently in a structured and responsible mannerWillingness to travel up to 30%Preferred QualificationsCompleted technical training or education in IT, computer systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceExperience supporting IT infrastructure, servers, or network systemsBasic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, switches, cabling)Familiarity with monitoring and maintaining network or server environmentsStrong documentation and reporting skillsExperience in cryptocurrency mining environmentsFamiliarity with ASIC mining hardware and supporting infrastructure such as power distribution, cooling systems, and automation/control wiringPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 65 lbs occasionallyAbility to stand, walk, bend, and move equipment for extended periodsAbility to work around high-voltage equipment while adhering to strict safety protocolsAbility to work in all environmental conditions typical of industrial mining sites, including elevated noise levels, temperature extremes, and varying weather conditions
