Director – Data Centre Business | Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaWe are currently supporting a well-established and highly respected Saudi-based engineering and infrastructure group with the appointment of a Director - Data Centre Business.This is a business-building opportunity, rather than a traditional technical or sales leadership role.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to establish and lead the Group’s Data Centre business, shaping its strategy, developing key customer and technology partnerships, building the team and taking ownership of growth and profitability across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.The OpportunityYou will be responsible for:Developing and executing the Data Centre business strategy and 3-year growth roadmapBuilding relationships with hyperscalers, Data Centre developers, operators, cloud providers, telecoms, government entities, consultants and EPCsIdentifying and leading major opportunities across hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, modular and AI/HPC Data CentresEstablishing strategic partnerships with leading OEMs, technology providers and specialist contractorsLeading major tenders, commercial negotiations, pricing and value engineeringProviding leadership across the full Data Centre lifecycle, from concept and design through to commissioning and handoverBuilding the Engineering, Business Development, Commercial, Projects and Operations functions required to support the growth of the businessTaking ownership of business targets, revenue, margin and long-term profitabilityA key part of the role will be developing the Group Data Centre Strategic Plan within the first 90–120 days, defining target markets, customers, opportunities, partnerships, organisational requirements and the roadmap for growth.What We're Looking For:We are looking for a business builder with:20+ years of relevant industry experienceSignificant Data Centre / mission-critical infrastructure experience10+ years in senior leadership or management positionsA proven track record delivering complex Data Centre projectsStrong commercial and business development capabilityExperience building or significantly growing a Data Centre business or regional operationStrong Saudi Arabia / GCC market knowledge and an established industry networkExperience managing multidisciplinary teams and P&LStrong technical credibility across Data Centre infrastructure Uptime Institute, CDCP, CDCS or equivalent certifications would be highly advantageous.Why Join?This is an opportunity to join an established Saudi organisation with a strong regional presence and play a key role in one of the fastest-growing areas of the infrastructure market.You will have significant autonomy and visibility with senior leadership, with the opportunity to build a Data Centre business from the ground up, develop strategic partnerships and have a direct impact on the Group’s long-term growth strategy.For senior Data Centre professionals interested in exploring the opportunity, please feel free to get in touch for a confidential discussion.
