Data Engineer -12 Months (Extendable)

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join an Enterprise Data Foundation initiative on a 12-month extendable contract.The successful candidate will design, build and support scalable enterprise data solutions, with a strong focus on ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling, Master Data Management (MDM), data quality and enterprise data foundations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines within enterprise environments.Develop and maintain enterprise data models, including dimensional and canonical data models.Support the development of Enterprise Data Foundation capabilities and reusable data products.Implement and maintain Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, including golden record concepts, data standardisation and data quality.Develop large-scale data processing solutions using SQL, Python and Apache Spark.Build data quality controls, validation frameworks and monitoring processes.Optimise data pipelines for performance, scalability and maintainability.Translate business requirements into effective technical and data solutions.Work closely with business and technical stakeholders across the organisation.Contribute to data governance, metadata management and enterprise data standards.Must-Have Skills5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a closely related field.Strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development.Strong SQL skills.Hands-on experience with Python and Apache Spark.Strong experience in data modelling, including dimensional and canonical models.Experience with Master Data Management (MDM), golden records, data standardisation and data quality.Experience working with enterprise data foundations or large-scale enterprise data platforms.Strong understanding of scalable data architecture and data engineering best practices.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Preferred SkillsExperience with Palantir Foundry is highly desirable but not mandatory.Experience with modern cloud-based data platforms and ecosystems.Familiarity with data governance and metadata management.Experience working within complex enterprise environments.
