Data Engineer in New York, NY – On-Site OpportunityAs a vital member of our Research Engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in transforming complex financial data into strategic tools that empower investment decision-making. This is your chance to collaborate with top-tier data scientists and investment professionals, building and refining data infrastructure that drives innovation and competitive advantage.What You'll Do:Lead the onboarding and maintenance of diverse, complex data sets from varied sources to support our investment processes.Work closely with data scientists and engineering colleagues to enhance systems and develop new tools that optimize data pipelines throughout their lifecycle.Contribute to a growing internal Python ecosystem by writing scalable, robust, and maintainable code that advances our data capabilities.Required Skills:Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Quantitative Finance, or related fields.Over 3 years of professional experience in developing data infrastructure, preferably within financial services.Proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience using data ingestion tools such as dbt.Experience working with alternative data sets and large, collaborative codebases.Familiarity with cloud environments like Snowflake.Strong analytical skills combined with a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving.Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and levels.Commitment to professional integrity and high ethical standards.An interest in AI tools and innovative data solutions.Other Requirements:This is an on-site position in New York City.
