Job Title: Data EngineerLocation: Rutherford, NJ (Hybrid)Duration: 6 months (Right to Hire)Job OverviewWe are seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure that support analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets, ETL processes, cloud platforms, and modern data technologies.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.Build and optimize data models, data warehouses, and data lakes.Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability.Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders.Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues.Implement data governance and security best practices.Optimize database performance and query efficiency.Support reporting and analytics initiatives.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Experience with data warehousing concepts.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or Synapse.Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or Hadoop ecosystem.Knowledge of data lake and lakehouse architectures.Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
