About the RoleWe are looking for an adaptable, highly motivated Software Engineer who thrives at the intersection of Full Stack Web Development and Data Engineering.We aren't looking for hyper-specialists who only write CSS or only manage servers. Instead, we want one talented, curious engineer who loves wearing multiple hats: building robust Python backends, shaping clean data pipelines, querying database systems, and occasionally putting together functional frontends to bring data to life.If you are a backend engineer at heart who loves databases and data pipelines, and is open to learning or writing lightweight React applications along the way, this role is tailored for you. Responsibilities :- Data & Backend Architecture: Design, build, and maintain robust backend APIs, server logic, and services using Python and Django.- Data Pipelines & ETL: Build and maintain lightweight, efficient data pipelines to process, clean, and load datasets into our relational databases.- Database Optimization: Design robust SQL schemas, write highly optimized queries, and manage the scaling and performance of our SQL databases.- Frontend Adaptability (Optional & Lenient): Connect your backend and data layers to the frontend. Modify and maintain basic, functional interfaces using ReactJS (no pixel-perfect design experience required—we value functionality over flashy UI!).- Product Enhancements: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of our data product applications, ensuring high reliability, uptime, and data accuracy. Qualifications :- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.- Experience: 2–4 years of industry experience working with web backends, database design, or data-intensive applications. Required Skills :- Python Web Frameworks: Strong hands-on coding skills in Python, with practical experience in Django (or similar frameworks like FastAPI/Flask).- Strong Database & SQL Skills: Deep comfort with writing complex SQL queries.- Adaptable Technical Mindset: Eagerness to bridge different engineering domains—jumping from database scripts to API design and back.- Collaboration & Communication: Clear communication skills to collaborate effectively with data scientists, analysts, and product managers. Preferred & Optional Skills (Good to have) :- Experience with ReactJS or Next.js (framed leniently—a major plus, but something we will help you learn on the job if you are primarily a backend/data engineer!).- Familiarity with data pipeline engines or schedulers (e.g., Apache Airflow, Celery, Cron jobs).- Exposure to Docker, cloud services (AWS/GCP), or CI/CD pipelines.Data Processing Logic: Practical knowledge of building ETL pipelines, data structures, and script-based automation.
