Data Engineer (Medior)Job TitleData Engineer – Medior / Data Analyst / Analytics EngineerLocationStockholm, SwedenLanguage RequirementSwedish-speaking resource requiredWork EnvironmentStockholm-based roleAgile/Scrum product teamWork within the electricity/energy network domainPython and Databricks are central to the data-driven workflowRole OverviewThe Impact Forecasting product team is responsible for developing and maintaining power forecasts for both local and regional electricity grids.These forecasts estimate additional power requirements across areas such as:HousingElectrification of transportIndustry and business premisesThe forecasts support network dimensioning, network development planning, investments and reinvestments, and stakeholder/customer discussions.The Data Engineer / Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer will help automate forecasting processes, analyze customer and time-series data, develop forecasting methodologies, build Power BI reporting solutions, and ensure data quality.Key Responsibilities1. Forecast AutomationAutomate previously manual forecasting activities using Python.Develop and maintain data processing and analytical workflows.Work within a Databricks environment.Improve efficiency and reliability of forecasting processes.2. Data Analysis & Methodology DevelopmentAnalyze large datasets, particularly customer data and time-series data.Investigate opportunities to improve or change forecasting methodologies.Perform both structured and exploratory analysis.Generate quantitative and qualitative insights.Collaborate with specialists from different disciplines.3. Power BI ReportingDevelop new Power BI reports and dashboards.Enhance and maintain existing Power BI solutions.Perform data modeling.Implement calculations and new reporting functionality.Present analytical results clearly to stakeholders.4. Power ForecastingUpdate power forecasts for specific geographic areas.Collect, validate and process input data.Communicate with municipalities and local grid customers where required.Analyze forecast results and identify relevant insights.Prepare and present forecasting material to stakeholders.5. Data Quality & AssuranceExamine availability and suitability of relevant data.Collect and consolidate data from multiple sources.Perform data analysis and validation.Ensure data quality, accuracy and reliability.Identify and resolve data-related issues.Mandatory RequirementsSeveral years of experience in data analysis, particularly:Customer dataTime-series dataLarge datasetsData manipulationData modelingReporting and presenting results to stakeholdersSeveral years of experience with Python or a similar programming language.Strong ability to write efficient, clean and maintainable code.Professional experience with Power BI or equivalent visualization tools.Experience in the electricity network industry or broader energy industry.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent ability to communicate and convey analytical messages clearly.Swedish language proficiency.Must be based in Stockholm.
