With a strong focus on data-led decision-making and seamless mobile experiences, this team is building out their next-generation data infrastructure, and they’re looking for another Data Engineer to help drive that forward.This is an exciting opportunity to shape the way data flows through a live product used by thousands, while working closely with analytics, engineering, and commercial teams. You’ll be joining a small, high-impact team, reporting to a technical leader with a strong background in applied data architecture.What You’ll Be DoingDesigning, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to power both internal analytics and customer-facing mobile/web applicationsDeveloping robust ETL processes for ingesting and transforming data from a variety of sources, particularly APIsCreating and optimising data architectures to ensure efficient data storage, processing, and retrievalSupporting backend integrations (Python, Django) to ensure clean interfacing between data systems and applicationsCollaborating with stakeholders across Data Science, Product, Ops, and Commercial to shape data models that meet the needs of a growing businessSupporting CI/CD, data versioning, and monitoring to ensure the reliability and accuracy of production pipelinesDriving improvements in data access, documentation, and visualisation across the organisationWhat They’re Looking ForProven experience designing and maintaining data pipelines in production environmentsStrong Python and SQL skills; familiarity with frameworks like Airflow, Spark, or similarSolid understanding of data modelling, architecture, and warehousing best practicesComfort working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure tools (e.g. Terraform, SageMaker)Willingness to gain intermediate-level backend development skills (especially with Python/Django)Bonus: experience with data lakes, CI/CD, and data quality/versioning toolsIf this role interests you and you would like to find out more (or find out about other roles), please apply here or contact us via niall.wharton@Xcede.com (feel free to include a CV for review).
