This is a hands-on engineering role with real scope to shape how data flows through a growing platform, not just maintain what's already there.ResponsibilitiesBuild, test, and optimize data pipelines on Databricks and Azure, covering ingestion through to transformationWrite production-grade SQL and Python for data transformation, modeling, and automationWork within a modern Bronze/Silver/Gold (medallion) architecture, contributing to how it evolvesOwn your pipelines end to end: build, monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues as they ariseCollaborate closely with the wider data team on ingestion from core business systems into the central platformRequired SkillsHands-on experience with Databricks and Azure, ideally including Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, or similar toolsStrong SQL and Python skills, with real pipeline-building experience, not just querying or reportingComfortable working within an established architecture, while still bringing your own ideas to how it's builtA builder's mindset: you want to own your work end to end, not just maintain someone else'sNot a fit ifYour experience is analyst-only (dashboards and reporting) rather than pipeline engineeringYou've only worked with Databricks or Azure in a supporting or observational capacity
