Data Engineer

Role DescriptionDesign, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data solutions.Develop and optimize data models, data warehouses, and data lakes.Build and support cloud-based data platforms on AWS and/or GCP.Implement data transformation workflows using DBT and orchestration tools such as Airflow.Optimize SQL queries, ensure data quality, and improve pipeline performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.Monitor, troubleshoot, and provide support for production data pipelines.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.5+ years of experience building, optimizing, and operationalizing data pipelines with large-scale and complex datasets.Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and distributed data processing.Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience writing complex queries across multiple data sources.Strong proficiency in Python (PySpark preferred) and Spark SQL; experience with Scala or Java is a plus.4+ years of experience in Data Modeling, ETL, Data Warehousing, and Big Data ecosystems.Cloud & Data Platform ExperienceHands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms on AWS and/or GCP.Experience with cloud data services such as:AWS: EMR, Lambda, Redshift, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Step Functions.GCP: Dataflow, Data Fusion, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataform.Experience with Snowflake is a strong advantage.Azure experience is a plus.Data Engineering & OrchestrationStrong experience designing, developing, monitoring, and maintaining scalable and resilient data pipelines.Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or AWS Step Functions.5+ years of hands-on experience with DBT; experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) is highly preferred.Strong understanding of database and storage architectures, including Data Lake, Relational Databases, NoSQL, Graph Databases, and Data Warehouses.Application & Visualization (Preferred)Experience building data-driven applications, dashboards, or analytical solutions.Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.Experience with Foundry Workshop / Foundry Slate is an advantage.Soft SkillsFast learner with strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new technologies.Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.Benefits“FPT care” health insurance and is exclusive for FPT employees.Annual Summer Vacation: follows company’s policy and starts from May every yearSalary review: 1 time per yearInternational, dynamic, friendly working environmentAnnual leave, working conditions follow Vietnam labor laws.Other allowances: lunch allowance, working on-site allowance, etc.
