Data Engineer-Hedge Fund

Key Responsibilities* Design and develop robust, efficient, scalable, and monitored production data pipelines in a cloud environment.* Ingest, prepare, transform, and optimize third-party/vendor datasets to generate actionable features.* Analyze and interpret data structures and patterns to improve pipeline design and dataset usability.* Ensure strong standards for data quality, performance, reliability, and documentation.* Collaborate closely with the local data sourcing team and partner with international Data Science and Research teams based in Paris.Technical Expertise* Strong proficiency in Python, including Pandas.* Solid understanding of cloud-based data architectures (ideally AWS).* Familiarity with the Apache data ecosystem (e.g., Airflow, Spark, Kafka).* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Jenkins.* Knowledge of modern data formats, including Parquet and Iceberg.Profile* 3+ years of experience in data engineering.* Strong curiosity about the finance industry and a commitment to handling data with accuracy and care.* Proven ability to work effectively in a distributed, international environment.* Versatile, autonomous, and detail-oriented, with strong teamwork and communication skills.* Fluent in English.
