Data Governance Analyst (Business Facing)

Location: Abu Dhabi - OnsiteContract Duration: Initial 12 months rolling contractQualifications: 8–15 years' experience within Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Master Data Management, or Enterprise Data Office functions.Proven experience implementing and embedding enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls.Strong understanding of Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, Data Accountability, and governance operating models.Experience driving data quality initiatives, including issue management, root cause analysis, remediation planning, and ongoing monitoring.Proven ability to engage with business stakeholders to define critical data elements, business glossaries, data standards, and governance processes.Experience managing data-related risks, regulatory requirements, compliance obligations, and data privacy considerations.Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, data cataloguing, and information management best practices.Experience supporting regulatory audits, compliance reviews, and governance assessments.Ability to confidently engage with regulators, auditors, risk, compliance, and senior business stakeholders on data governance, data quality, lineage, and control-related matters.Experience producing governance reporting, KPIs, scorecards, regulatory submissions, and executive-level updates.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across business, technology, risk, and compliance functions.Ideal Experience:Business-facing Data Governance professional capable of representing the organisation during regulatory engagements, audits, and governance reviews.Comfortable challenging stakeholders, driving accountability, and influencing governance outcomes across multiple business functions.Able to translate complex data governance and regulatory requirements into practical controls, processes, and business outcomes.Strong communicator with the credibility and confidence to engage with regulators, executive leadership, risk, compliance, and technology teams.
