Data Governance Analyst – Credit Risk

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!Experience: 6-8 years.Hybrid: 2 days Work from Home 3 days Work from OfficeYour Profile & DNA:We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst with experience in the banking or financial services industry, preferably within the Credit Risk domain. The successful candidate will support data governance initiatives, improve data quality processes, and collaborate closely with business and technology teams to ensure data is well-defined, governed, and fit for purpose.This role requires strong analytical skills, an understanding of data management practices, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across business and IT functions.Roles & ResponsibilitiesSupport data governance initiatives, ensuring adherence to organizational data management standards and policies.Contribute to metadata management, data cataloging, and data documentation activities using data governance tools.Assist in defining, documenting, and maintaining business glossaries, data definitions, and data lineage information.Monitor data quality issues, perform analysis, and coordinate with business and IT stakeholders to drive resolution.Collaborate with Technical Developers, IT teams, and Solution Architects to support data-related projects and initiatives.Analyze business requirements and translate them into data governance and data management solutions.Prepare and maintain clear, structured documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.Support regulatory, risk, and compliance-related data governance activities within the Credit Risk domain.Participate in data governance forums, working groups, and continuous improvement initiatives.Qualification & ExperienceA Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.Minimum 3 years of experience within the banking or financial services industry, preferably in Credit Risk.Hands-on experience in data management and exposure to data governance frameworks and practices.Familiarity with data governance tools such as Collibra, including metadata management and data catalog activities.Understanding of data quality principles, controls, monitoring, and issue resolution processes.Strong IT affinity with experience working closely alongside Technical Developers, IT teams, and Solution Architects.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data structures.Knowledge of databases, data warehouses, and SQL.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Ability to create clear documentation and effectively present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.What do we offer?If your profile matches the job requirement and you are interested to be presented to our clients, then please apply and don’t forget to attach your updated CV in line with the JD!This position is for 1 year with possibility of extension.
