Data Governance Manager – Southampton (3x a week onsite) - £65,000 + benefitsWe are working with a global infrastructure organisation operating across complex, highly regulated and operationally critical environments. With data increasingly central to how the organisation makes decisions, manages risk, improves performance and develops new digital and AI-enabled capabilities, they are investing in how they govern and use their data across the organisation.Our client is now looking for an experienced Data Governance Manager to build and establish their enterprise data governance capability from the ground up, moving them from fragmented, reactive data practices to an approach that is governed, trusted and scalable. The Data Governance Manager will have strong knowledge of DAMA DMBOK (or an equivalent framework), along with practical knowledge of UK GDPR and data governance controls.This role requires strong stakeholder management and would suit someone who enjoys changing behaviours as much as creating frameworks, leading through influence and building strong relationships across the organisation.Key RequirementsExperience building data governance frameworks from scratchStrong knowledge of DAMA DMBOK (or an equivalent framework)Strong understanding of UK GDPRExperience turning concepts such as data quality, metadata, lineage and stewardship into operational processesExperience working with data governance technologies such as Microsoft Purview, data catalogues, lineage, data quality and MDM platformsConfidence operating across Microsoft, SAP and cloud environmentsStrong stakeholder management and influencing skillsThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Data Governance Manager to join a global infrastructure organisation and build and establish their enterprise data governance capability from the ground up.
