Location: Dubai | Onsite Start: ASAPContract Length: 6-month fixed-term contract, project-basedWe're looking for experienced data governance contractors and interim professionals who are available for a 6-month engagement.

We are partnering with a leading national bank to bring in an experienced Data Governance Manager for a 6-month project. You'll establish and embed the bank's data governance framework, working closely with business, technology and risk stakeholders to improve data quality, ownership and regulatory compliance.What you'll be doingDesign, implement and embed a data governance framework, including policies, standards and operating modelDefine data ownership and stewardship roles across business units and onboard data owners and stewardsBuild and maintain the business glossary, data catalogue and data lineageSet data quality rules, KPIs and monitoring, and drive remediation of data issuesAlign governance with regulatory requirements, including CBUAE guidelines and BCBS 239 principlesRun governance forums and report progress to senior stakeholdersHand over a sustainable governance model to the permanent team at project endWhat we're looking forA proven track record as a contractor or interim consultant. You've delivered time-bound projects and know how to make an impact quickly.8+ years in data management or data governance, ideally within banking or financial servicesProven experience setting up or maturing a data governance framework end to endStrong knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK principlesHands-on experience with governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica Axon/EDC, Alation or Microsoft PurviewUnderstanding of banking regulatory data requirements (CBUAE, BCBS 239)Confident engaging senior business and technology stakeholdersAvailable to start at short noticePreferred CDMP certificationExperience delivering governance alongside a data platform migration or transformation programGCC banking experienceArabic language skillsContractors only: please include your current availability in your application.
