قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Data Management Officer to join our Information Technology team in Dubai.Reporting to the Head of IT, the role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive view of the organisation’s data landscape across multiple entities and business systems. This includes data mapping, lineage, governance, retention, data protection and reporting requirements.The successful candidate will combine strong hands-on technical data capabilities with an understanding of data governance and privacy regulations, including UAE PDPL. The role will also support the organisation’s AI enablement journey by assessing data maturity, quality, structure, accessibility and readiness for AI use cases.Key ResponsibilitiesMap and maintain an inventory of data across multiple business entities, applications and systems, including where data resides, how it is structured and how it is used.Document end-to-end data flows and lineage, including APIs, interfaces, batch processes, exports and integrations.Develop and maintain data governance documentation including data inventories, data dictionaries, ROPA, retention schedules and data transfer registers.Understand and document the complete data lifecycle, including archival, retention, deletion, backups and replicas.Use SQL and data models to independently validate data, understand entities, keys, relationships and data grain, and identify limitations in joining or aggregating datasets.Support the organisation's Data Protection Officer (DPO) and assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and other data privacy requirements.Apply data protection principles relating to lawful basis, consent, retention and cross-border transfers, with particular emphasis on UAE PDPL.Provide data advisory and reporting support, identifying appropriate data sources, systems, aggregation methods and potential data limitations.Support AI and LLM enablement by assessing data quality, maturity, structure, accessibility and governance requirements.Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams and external vendors to resolve data-related issues and meet regulatory and business requirements.Candidate ProfileBachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data, Computer Science, IT, Law, Business or a related discipline.5–8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on enterprise data experience.Practical experience with data governance and data protection/privacy requirements.Strong working knowledge of SQL and ability to understand and interrogate business application data models.Experience creating and maintaining data inventories, dictionaries, lineage documentation and retention schedules.Knowledge of comprehensive data protection frameworks such as UAE PDPL, GDPR, DIFC or ADGM data protection regulations.Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to work independently across multiple business functions and manage competing priorities.Preferred ExperienceExperience in some of the following would be advantageous:Microsoft data ecosystem including Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Synapse Link, Power BI and Microsoft PurviewAzure Data Factory, Logic Apps or Power AutomateData cataloguing and lineage toolsPower BI / DAXPython for data profilingAI / LLM data enablementVendor and Data Processing Agreement (DPA) managementReal estate and/or investment-sector dataProject managementArabic language skillsIf you have a strong combination of hands-on data expertise, data governance and data protection experience and are interested in helping shape an organisation's evolving data and AI landscape, we would like to hear from you.
