Data Privacy Lawyer

About the RoleWe are seeking a Data Privacy Lawyer to support a leading organisation's Data Privacy Office in ensuring compliance with applicable global and local data protection regulations. This role will focus on privacy risk management, regulatory compliance, legal advisory services, and privacy support across business and technology initiatives.The successful candidate will be a legal professional with experience in data protection, privacy law, regulatory compliance, and technology-related legal matters.Key ResponsibilitieSupport privacy risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and tracking activitiesMaintain and update the Privacy Risk RegisterSupport Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default initiativesAssist with Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and data inventoriesMonitor developments in global privacy regulations, including GDPR and equivalent frameworksDraft, review, and maintain privacy policies, notices, procedures, and legal guidancSupport Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and privacy rights requestsProvide legal input into Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)Provide privacy advisory support to business and technology projectsSupport regulatory audits, compliance reviews, and privacy governance initiativesRequiremenBachelor's Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent2–3 years' experience in a legal counsel, privacy, compliance, or related legal roleExperience advising on data protection, privacy, compliance, or technology law mattersStrong understanding of GDPR and similar privacy frameworksExperience drafting legal documents, policies, and compliance materialsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsPreferred QualificatiExperience conducting DPIAs and PExposure to vendor agreements, data processing agreements, and data-sharing arrangementsExperience supporting regulatory audits and compliance reviewsCIPP/E or equivalent privacy certificationArabic and English language skills are advantageContract DetailsInitial 12-month contractExtension possible upon mutual agreementOn-site role based in Dubai, UAE
