Data Privacy Project Coordinator

Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are looking for an experienced Data Privacy Project Coordinator to support and coordinate data privacy, data protection, and data governance initiatives.The role requires someone who can work effectively across business, technology, legal, compliance, and vendor teams. The successful candidate will track project activities, follow up on privacy risks and remediation actions, prepare executive reports, and ensure that committee decisions and assigned actions are properly documented and completed.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate data privacy, data protection, data governance, and privacy compliance projects.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, deliverable trackers, risk registers, and action plans.
- Coordinate activities across business units, technology teams, legal, compliance, cybersecurity, vendors, and external consultants.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders and provide clear progress updates.
- Monitor project milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and outstanding actions.
- Coordinate vendor activities and follow up on deliverables, timelines, compliance gaps, and required corrective actions.
- Support privacy activities such as data mapping, data classification, ROPA, DPIAs, DSARs, consent management, and privacy assessments.
- Track privacy incidents, non-compliant processing activities, vendor gaps, and remediation plans.
- Prepare executive dashboards covering ROPA completion, DSAR volumes and SLA adherence, DPIA progress, DPA remediation, consent status, and privacy incidents.
- Prepare and present privacy and data governance updates to executive management and governance or steering committees.
- Escalate unresolved privacy risks and compliance gaps with clear recommendations and treatment options.
- Prepare committee packs, meeting minutes, decision logs, and action trackers.
- Follow up on committee decisions and assigned actions until closure while maintaining a clear audit trail.
- Support regulator-facing reports, submissions, evidence collection, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure that privacy records and supporting documents are accurate, complete, and available for review or audit.Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Law, Compliance, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of total professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical, IT, data, privacy, compliance, or related environment.
- Experience coordinating data privacy, data protection, data governance, or privacy compliance projects.
- Strong client-facing or Client Success experience.
- Experience coordinating business, technical, legal, compliance, and external vendor teams.
- Proven vendor-management and third-party coordination experience.
- Experience preparing and presenting reports to executive management and governance or steering committees.
- Familiarity with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with NDMO requirements or similar data governance frameworks is preferred.
- Knowledge of GDPR is an advantage.
- Experience with data mapping, data classification, ROPA, DPIAs, DSARs, privacy policies, or compliance activities is desirable.
- Strong project tracking, documentation, reporting, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to communicate legal, compliance, and technical matters clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate and present professionally in Arabic and English.
