Data Protection Officer (DPO) | Dubai, UAEPassionate about privacy, governance, and building trust in a digital world?IFZA is seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer (DPO) to lead and strengthen our privacy and data protection framework. This is an exciting opportunity to shape privacy strategy, drive compliance excellence, and partner with stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, IT, Information Security, HR, and Operations.Role Summary:You'll play a key role in ensuring compliance with UAE and international data protection regulations, advising on privacy risks, leading impact assessments, managing data incidents, and promoting a culture of responsible information management across the business.Key Responsibilities:Lead and enhance IFZA's privacy governance and compliance frameworkConduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)Provide expert guidance on data protection, privacy risks, and regulatory requirementsManage data subject rights requests and privacy incident responsesMonitor emerging privacy legislation and regulatory developmentsSupport audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inspectionsDeliver privacy training and awareness initiatives across the businessCollaborate with senior stakeholders on strategic privacy and data governance projectsKey Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in law, Compliance, Business, Information Security, or a related field4-5 years of experience in Data Protection, Privacy, Governance, Risk, or Regulatory ComplianceExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsStrong knowledge of UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and international privacy frameworks (GDPR experience is highly desirable)Experience developing policies, procedures, and governance documentationKnowledge of DPIAs, ROPA management, privacy risk assessments, and incident managementStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a pragmatic business mindsetHigh level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential informationPreferred ExperiencePrivacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalentExperience within financial services, regulated environments, corporate services, or multinational organizationsExposure to regulatory audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring activitiesWhy Join IFZA?Be part of a growing international organizationInfluence strategic, business-wide initiativesWork with senior leadership and cross-functional teamsHelp shape the future of privacy and data governance in a dynamic business environmentReady to advance your privacy career in one of the world's most vibrant business hubs?
