This role is critical in designing, building, and scaling robust data science and machine learning solutions that directly impact business outcomes. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with proven people management skills and a track record of building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams.KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIESData Science & Product Leadership Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of data products, predictive models, and analytics solutions tailored to business needs.Drive the roadmap for data science initiatives, from ideation through to production and ongoing enhancement.Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate machine learning models and analytics into scalable products.People Management & Team Development Manage, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers, fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture.Oversee performance management, career development, and upskilling initiatives within the team. Set clear objectives, provide constructive feedback, and guide team members towards excellence.Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Work closely with stakeholders across different teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.Engage with end users to gather feedback, iterate on features, and improve application usability. Provide training, support, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth adoption and usage of applications.Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, IT, Operations) to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable analytics and product solutions.Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership, enabling data-driven decision makingProcess Improvement & Innovation Continuously monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for better efficiency and scalability.Propose new features and enhancements to improve user experience and streamline business processes.Documentation & Reporting Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data/model pipelines, architecture diagrams, and user guides. Develop and share reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate business impact and technical findings.Support & TroubleshootingProvide ongoing technical support for deployed solutions, including debugging, performance tuning, and version control. Ensure system stability, security, and compliance with relevant data governance standards.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Economics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field (B. Tech / BE / Masters in CS/IS/AI/ML).WORK EXPERIENCE5+ years of hands-on experience in a data science or analytics role with proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models for data-driven solutions in real-world scenarios.TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREDHands-on experience in Advanced programming in Python for ML pipeline development, SQL for analytical query writing and optimization and excel for quick data manipulation.End-to-end ML model development & deploymentFlask/Fast API, integration with business applicationsExperience with Git for collaborative development and version control.Experience with any cloud platform & DevOps tools – AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)Expertise in multiple Statistics and ML techniques (e.g. classification, regression, forecasting, recommendation, optimization)Data Visualization: Good in creating clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations to translate complex analytical and statistical outputs into executive-friendly slidesGOOD TO HAVE SKILLSExposure to ETL pipelines, data modeling, Spark/AirflowExperience working closely with engineering/product teams using PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQLExperience in Power BI, Tableau, or similarExperience with LLMs, Gen AI, or agent frameworksAnd above all of this, an undying love for beer!We dream big to create a future with more cheers.
