Data Scientist (Analytics & Insights)

About the CompanyOur client is a fast-growing technology consulting company specializing in data, AI, and analytics solutions for global clients. As part of a collaborative remote team, you'll work on real-world business challenges using modern data science and machine learning techniques.Responsibilities- Contribute to the delivery of projects and engagements involving data analysis and insight generation- Support translating business requirements into technical solutions, helping shape project scope and outcomes- Build analytical approaches for insights that fall outside standard data pipelines — hands-on coding in Python/SQL, evaluating and improving model, classification, and clustering performance- Support quality control across data pipelines — from data sourcing through to insight generation — reviewing outputs from both a business and technical lens- Help translate findings into clear, presentation-ready outputs (PowerPoint, Power BI dashboards)- Participate in client read-outs and support ongoing client success on delivered solutions- Follow information security policies, procedures, and standards within the scope of the roleRequirements (Must-Have)- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or Engineering- 2+ years of professional experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field- Strong command of quantitative methods for data analysis- Ability to structure problems clearly, form and test hypotheses, and see a solution through to execution- Strong communication skills, especially in client-facing or stakeholder settings- Working knowledge of: - Supervised and unsupervised learning model evaluation - Data transformation and visualization (charts and dashboards) - Core Python data science packages (pandas, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn) - SQL and databases- Fluency in English, written and spokenNice-to-Have- Prior experience in strategy consulting or client-facing analytics roles- NLP packages such as spaCy, or experience with transformer/LLM-based pipelines- Familiarity with Git, API/web service development (e.g. FastAPI)- Working familiarity with MLOps, Linux/Bash, cloud platforms, or containers (Docker, Kubernetes)- Experience with deep learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch- Hands-on experience with cloud-based NLP/LLM platforms (OpenAI GPT, Llama, Azure NLP, Google NLP, Gemini, or similar)- Multilingual- A track record of high achievement in any domain (academics, sports, competitions, etc.)---About Why HiringAt Why Hiring, we believe in the power of connecting talented individuals with incredible remote and on-site job opportunities.
