Role SummaryThe Data Scientist supports the development and implementation of data-driven solutions to solve business challenges and enable informed decision-making. The role involves exploratory data analysis, predictive modelling, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights.This position focuses on applying statistical techniques and machine learning methodologies to improve business performance, with opportunities for continuous learning in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunitiesDevelop and validate machine learning models (regression, classification, clustering, etc.)Conduct feature engineering, hypothesis testing, and model evaluationTranslate business requirements into data science use cases and analytical solutionsDeliver actionable insights to drive optimisation, efficiency, and performance improvementSupport decision-making through data-backed recommendationsExperience & QualificationsExperience in data science / advanced analytics environmentsHands-on experience with machine learning techniques and statistical modellingExperience working with programming languages such as Python / R / SQLExposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP) and big data ecosystemsExperience in data visualisation tools (Power BI / Tableau)Skills & CompetenciesTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of data modelling, machine learning frameworks, and statistical analysisProficiency in Python libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)Good exposure to Azure and DatabricksExperience working with structured and unstructured datasetsCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving mindsetEffective communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work collaboratively in cross-functional teamsStrong attention to detail and data-driven decision-making approachDemonstrated continuous learning mindsetAdditional Requirements (Mandatory)Hands-on experience in PythonExperience in Azure and Databricks and ML model development & DeploymentExperience in Tableau or similar visualisation tools
