You will be responsible for uncovering insights, building predictive models, and translating complex financial data into actionable insights.This is not a "business as usual" role. We need a self-driven scientist who can code fluently, possesses a strong command of statistical techniques, and stays at the cutting edge of the field. Specifically, we want someone who has mastered the use of AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, LLM-based refactoring) to accelerate data exploration, write cleaner code, and automate routine analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis: Independently investigate large, complex financial datasets to discover hidden patterns, anomalies, and opportunities.Statistical & Machine Learning Modeling: Design, train, and validate predictive models and statistical frameworks.Data Integrity & Validation: Implement rigorous statistical checks and validation methods to ensure 100% accuracy and reliability in source data, data models and reporting.AI-Augmented Development: Proactively use AI tools to generate boilerplate analysis code, refactor legacy scripts, and accelerate the research lifecycle without sacrificing mathematical or code quality.Impactful Dashboards: Translate complex statistical findings into clear dashboards to tell the data story.RequirementsExperience: 2+ years in Data Science or Quantitative Analysis, ideally within the fintech, banking, or quantitative trading sectors.Core Competencies: A strong foundation in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and experimental design. Proven ability to take a messy dataset and drive an analysis from scratch self-sufficiently.Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python or TypeScript, and advanced SQL. Experience with async workflow libraries and tools.Data Literacy: A solid understanding of time-series data structures and financial metrics.AI Fluency: Demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools effectively. You should be able to discuss how you use prompting or AI-integrated IDEs to improve your research and development workflow.Onsite Presence: This role is based in our Hong Kong office.
