Team members contribute to data-driven decision-making that shapes the future of transportation in Abu Dhabi.Role Description The Data Scientist will work on-site in Abu Dhabi in a full-time capacity, using data-driven methods to support transport planning, operations, and policy. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and cleaning transport-related data, performing statistical and analytical modeling, and developing predictive and optimization models to improve traffic flow, public transport services, and resource allocation. The role involves creating dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders, preparing clear reports, and presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences. The Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to the design of data pipelines and analytical tools, and support continuous improvement of transport strategies using advanced analytics and machine learning.Qualifications Strong foundation in Data Science and Statistics, with the ability to design experiments, build models, and interpret results.Proficiency in Data Analytics and Data Analysis to extract insights, identify trends, and support evidence-based decision-making.Experience in Data Visualization to create clear, compelling dashboards and reports for varied stakeholders.Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python or R, and common data science libraries and tools.Familiarity with databases, SQL, and data processing frameworks; experience with big data platforms is an advantage.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in diverse, cross-functional teams.Experience in transport, urban planning, or public sector analytics is beneficial; knowledge of machine learning methods is a plus.
