Data ScientistLondon (1 day per week in the office)Up to £80,000I'm supporting one of the UK's largest transport and infrastructure organisations as they continue to invest heavily in their Data & AI capability.This is an opportunity to join a newly established Data Science function where you'll help shape the first production Machine Learning capability across the business. You'll be working with large-scale operational datasets, influencing business decisions that impact millions of customer journeys each year, and helping define best practice from the ground up.The RoleThis is not a research-focused Data Scientist position. The focus is on delivering predictive insight that drives real-world operational and commercial outcomes.You'll:Build and deploy ML models into productionTurn complex data into actionable insightPartner with stakeholders to solve business challengesPresent findings to technical and non-technical audiencesWhat I'm Looking ForCommunication is every bit as important as technical capability in this role. They're looking for someone who can influence stakeholders, challenge assumptions and translate complex analysis into clear business decisions.You'll likely have:Commercial Data Science experienceStrong Python and SQL skillsExperience deploying ML models into productionExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to explain technical concepts simplyAzure, Fabric, Databricks or similar cloud platform experienceIf you're a Data Scientist who enjoys partnering with the business, influencing stakeholders and translating analytics into action, I'd be keen to discuss the opportunity.Data Scientist
