Data Scientist (Mid-Level – DA II / DA III)Clearance Required: Interim Secret or HigherLocation: Remote / Hybrid (Client Dependent) Work location is hybrid including majority remote with meetings in Tysons Corner and Crystal City.Employment Type: Full-TimeImmediate Hiring Need – Data Scientists Supporting Advanced Analytics, AI, and Machine Learning InitiativesWe are seeking highly skilled Data Scientists (DA II / DA III) to support enterprise data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and predictive modeling initiatives within the Advana platform. This role is ideal for professionals with experience developing production-ready machine learning solutions, leveraging large-scale data platforms, and transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that support mission-critical decision-making.The selected candidates will work alongside data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to develop predictive analytics solutions, automate business processes, and deliver advanced AI capabilities supporting Federal and Department of Defense (DoD) missions.Position ResponsibilitiesCollaborate within cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement enterprise-level machine learning and predictive analytics solutions.Develop and deploy supervised and unsupervised machine learning models to support business and mission requirements.Build predictive modeling solutions utilizing classification, regression, clustering, and statistical analysis techniques.Design and implement automated time-series forecasting pipelines within Databricks on the Advana platform.Develop Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) for text extraction, entity recognition, classification, and analysis of unstructured data.Train and deploy deep learning and computer vision models supporting document verification, compliance monitoring, and automated control testing.Manage production MLOps lifecycles, including model deployment, monitoring, optimization, and maintenance.Integrate machine learning outputs into visualization and analytics platforms such as Qlik Sense and Palantir Foundry.Perform feature engineering, model validation, hyperparameter tuning, and model performance optimization.Support cloud-based analytics and AI initiatives utilizing Databricks and Apache Spark.Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate mission requirements into scalable analytics solutions.Develop technical documentation and communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.Required QualificationsExperienceExperience collaborating within cross-functional teams on the Advana platform to identify, design, and execute enterprise-level machine learning and predictive analytics solutions.Experience deploying supervised classification and regression models, including gradient-boosted decision trees.Experience developing predictive analytics solutions to automate business processes and improve decision-making.Experience engineering automated time-series forecasting pipelines utilizing Databricks.Experience building NLP pipelines using Large Language Models (LLMs) to process and classify large volumes of unstructured data.Experience training and deploying deep learning and computer vision models.Experience managing production MLOps lifecycles and model deployment processes.Experience integrating machine learning outputs into business intelligence and visualization platforms.Programming SkillsAdvanced proficiency in Python.Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.Big Data & Cloud PlatformsDatabricks (Lakehouse, Autoloader).Apache Spark (PySpark).Palantir Foundry (Ontology Development).Machine Learning & Statistical ModelingSupervised Learning.Unsupervised Learning.Classification.Regression.Gradient-Boosted Trees.Cluster Analysis.Statistical Inference.Regularization Techniques.Dimensionality Reduction.Time-Series Forecasting (Prophet, SARIMAX, BSTS).Natural Language Processing (NLP)Named Entity Recognition (NER).Topic Modeling (LDA, NMF).Text Extraction.Sentiment Analysis.Language Modeling.Large Language Models (LLMs).Deep Learning & Computer VisionDeep Neural Networks.Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs).Recurrent Neural Networks.Object Detection.Signature Verification.Image Annotation.Visualization & Analytics PlatformsQlik Sense.Palantir Foundry.Additional SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing environments.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.Strong collaboration skills and experience working within agile development teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting Federal Government, Department of Defense (DoD), Financial Management (FM), or General Ledger (GL) data initiatives.Experience working within the Advana ecosystem.Experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions within cloud-based environments.Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.Experience supporting enterprise analytics and AI modernization initiatives.Clearance RequirementActive Interim Secret Clearance or higher is required.Active Secret clearance preferred.Why Join Us?Join a high-performing team delivering advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions that support enterprise decision-making across complex mission environments.
