Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days per week)Renumeration: Up to £130,000 + discretionary bonusPermanentHL1410Business OverviewFinatal is partnering with a fast-growth, private equity-backed data services business undergoing significant technology and data transformation.

The business is investing heavily in its internal data capability and is looking to appoint a Data Lead as its first senior internal data hire. This is a genuinely greenfield opportunity to design and build a centralised data platform from the ground up, replacing fragmented reporting and manual processes before developing the analytics and BI capability across Finance, Commercial, and Operations.RoleLead the design and delivery of a greenfield modern data platform, from architecture and source mapping through to implementation.Integrate data across core CRM, ERP and operational systems, creating a trusted and governed source of truth.Build the reporting and analytics layer across ARR, NRR, churn, pipeline, renewals, customer engagement and financial performance.Lead key technology and tooling decisions across the data stack while remaining hands-on with delivery.Work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Product and Technology to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.RequirementsProven experience personally starting, leading and delivering a greenfield data warehouse or data platform.Strong hands-on technical capability, including advanced SQL and experience with modern data tooling such as Snowflake, Fabric, dbt, Fivetran, Airflow or equivalent.Experience implementing and owning a BI platform, including semantic modelling and user adoption.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to senior non-technical stakeholders.Ideally experience within a smaller, PE-backed or recurring-revenue business, with exposure to Finance, ARR and commercial reporting.
