قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجThe Data Center Operator (DCO) is responsible for maintaining the continuous availability, stability, and operational efficiency of data center environments.The role involves 24×7 monitoring of critical infrastructure and environmental systems, responding to incidents and service requests, managing physical access, performing routine inspections, providing remote hands support, and coordinating with NOC, Facility, Vendor, and Customer teams.The DCO will operate in accordance with established SOPs, SLAs, ITIL processes, safety requirements, and data center operational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor data center infrastructure and environmental systems including power, cooling, security, network connectivity, and IT equipment.Monitor alerts and respond to incidents and service requests within defined SLAs and escalation procedures.Perform routine physical inspections and operational checks of data center facilities and IT equipment.Identify abnormal conditions such as temperature, humidity, power, cooling, equipment, or connectivity issues and escalate appropriately.Provide remote hands support including equipment checks, cable checks, power cycling, visual inspections, and basic hardware troubleshooting.Support installation, relocation, replacement, and maintenance activities for servers, networking equipment, and other data center assets.Coordinate and control physical access for customers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams in accordance with security procedures.Maintain accurate records of incidents, changes, access activities, maintenance activities, and operational events in the ticketing system.Collaborate with NOC Operations, Facility Management, vendors, and customers to troubleshoot and resolve incidents.Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.Follow approved SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, escalation matrices, and change procedures.Ensure compliance with data center security, safety, operational, and service management standards.Prepare shift handover reports and communicate outstanding incidents, risks, and operational activities.Maintain a customer-focused approach while working under pressure in a 24×7 operational environment.Education & ExperienceDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.5-6 years of experience in data center operations, IT operations, NOC, technical support, infrastructure support, or a similar environment.Previous experience working in a 24×7 shift-based operational environment is preferred.Technical RequirementsBasic knowledge of server hardware and data center equipment.Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, routers, and network troubleshooting.Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems.Understanding of data center infrastructure including power, UPS, cooling, environmental monitoring, and physical security.Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools.Experience using ticketing/service management systems.Understanding of incident, request, change, and escalation management.Familiarity with ITIL-based processes is an advantage.Understanding of data center operational procedures such as SOP/MOP/EOP is preferred.Key CompetenciesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.High attention to detail.Ability to follow procedures accurately.Strong written and verbal English communication.Ability to remain calm during incidents and service-impacting events.Good documentation and reporting skills.Customer-oriented mindset.Ability to work independently and as part of a NOC/Facility operations team.Willingness to work 24×7 shifts, weekends, and public holidays.Arabic language skills are an advantage.
