If you have candidates with strong data center, fiber, telecom, or structured cabling experience, please reach out and let's connect.Title: Data Center Technician I / II / LeadLocation: Mackenzie, BC - client will pay for flights and lodging Start Date: ASAPDuration: 12+ Month ContractTravel Requirement: 3 Weeks Onsite / 1 Week HomeCandidates Must: Currently Reside in CanadaPay Rate: up to $55/hr CAD$120/day per diemJob DescriptionInsight Global is seeking Data Center Technicians I, II, and Lead Technicians to support large-scale data center deployments and critical infrastructure projects throughout Canada. These individuals will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting network and data center infrastructure in live production environments.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fiber and copper cabling, structured cabling systems, rack and stack deployments, hardware installations, and infrastructure troubleshooting. Candidates should be comfortable working independently while supporting medium to large-scale data center operations and buildouts. Lead Technicians should have experience mentoring junior technicians and driving project execution.Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of physical network infrastructure, including fiber optic systems, structured cabling, servers, switches, cabinets, and network connectivity. They should be able to interpret technical documentation, follow installation standards, and effectively troubleshoot issues in fast-paced environments.Required Skills & Experience2+ years of experience in data centers, telecommunications, structured cabling, network infrastructure, or related environmentsExperience working with both copper and fiber optic cablingExperience pulling, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting cabling infrastructureUnderstanding of single-mode and multimode fiberExperience with rack & stack deployments and hardware installationsAbility to troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, and physical layer network issuesExperience reading network diagrams, rack elevations, cable schedules, and technical documentationExperience working in live production environmentsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPreferred Skills & ExperienceFiber splicing or fusion splicing experienceOTDR testing, light meters, and fiber certification toolsExperience troubleshooting switches, routers, and network equipmentExperience consoling into network devicesCisco, Juniper, Aruba, or similar networking environmentsPrevious experience in medium to large-scale data centersLeadership experience for Lead Technician openings
