📌 Job Title: L2 Technician – Data Center📍 Location: Reno, NV 🏢 Work Mode: Onsite (5 Days/Week)We are seeking a hands-on L2 Data Center Technician to support server and network infrastructure operations in a fast-paced data center environment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, hardware expertise, and the ability to collaborate closely with remote network and system administrators.🔧 Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and troubleshoot server hardware issues; identify and isolate root causes with support from remote network/sys adminsCoordinate procurement of replacement parts, install components, and manage RMA/return shipments with vendorsPerform server firmware upgrades to ensure systems run on approved versionsConfigure server IP addresses and default credentials per standard proceduresSupport network-related tasks including cable replacement/re-routing, optics replacement, and hardware upgradesRack, stack, and cable servers/switches to enable remote configuration and validationProvide hands-on assistance for ad hoc server and switch requestsPerform structured cabling as per approved wiring diagrams and validate connectivity with network teamsConduct physical inspections and inventory audits of servers, components, and consumables✅ Required Skills & ExperienceExperience working in a Data Center or enterprise IT infrastructure environmentStrong knowledge of server hardware, cabling standards, and network componentsExperience with firmware upgrades, hardware replacement, and RMA processesAbility to read and follow wiring diagrams and standard operating proceduresStrong troubleshooting and coordination skillsComfortable working fully onsite in a physical infrastructure environment
