More details as below.Notice Period: Immediate-15 daysContract: 3 months+ExtendableWork: Jeddah-HybridExp:10+ YearsRole OverviewWe are looking for an experienced DBA Administrator – Oracle & Microsoft SQL Server to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise database environments. The role will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, high availability, troubleshooting, and ensuring database reliability and security.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server environments.Perform database administration activities across development, testing, UAT, and production environments.Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance.Perform SQL query and database performance tuning, including execution plans, indexing, and resource utilization.Manage database backup and recovery using appropriate Oracle and SQL Server tools.Perform database restores and support disaster recovery (DR) activities.Configure and maintain Oracle Data Guard, RAC, or other HA/DR solutions where applicable.Manage SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, clustering, replication, or log shipping.Perform database upgrades, migrations, patching, and version upgrades.Manage database users, roles, privileges, authentication, and access controls.Implement database security best practices, including encryption and auditing.Monitor database storage, tablespaces, datafiles, transaction logs, and disk utilization.Perform database capacity planning and recommend infrastructure improvements.Troubleshoot database incidents, connectivity issues, performance problems, and production failures.Develop and maintain database maintenance jobs, scripts, and automation.Manage SQL Server Agent jobs and Oracle scheduled jobs.Support application teams with database-related issues and provide technical guidance.Perform database cloning, refreshes, and environment synchronization.Participate in 24x7 production support/on-call activities when required.Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and recovery plans.Work with infrastructure, application, security, and DevOps teams on database-related initiatives.Required Technical SkillsOracleOracle Database 11g/12c/18c/19c/21cOracle RAC and Data GuardRMAN backup and recoveryOracle performance tuningSQL and PL/SQLASM and Oracle Enterprise ManagerDatabase patching and upgradesData migration and troubleshootingMicrosoft SQL ServerSQL Server 2016/2019/2022T-SQLSQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)SQL Server AgentAlways On Availability GroupsBackup and restoreDatabase maintenance and performance tuningIndex and query optimizationReplication and log shippingAdditional SkillsStrong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments.Experience with shell/PowerShell scripting and database automation.Understanding of cloud databases such as Azure SQL, Azure Database for Oracle, AWS RDS, or equivalent platforms is an advantage.Knowledge of ITIL processes, incident management, change management, and problem management.Experience with monitoring tools and enterprise database management platforms.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.10+ years of experience in database administration.Strong hands-on experience with both Oracle and MS SQL Server.Experience supporting large-scale, high-availability production environments.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.WHAT’S ON OFFER:You will be remunerated with an excellent base salary and entitled to attractive company benefits.
