DDI Engineer – DNS, DHCP & IPAM

Job SummaryWe are looking for a Mid-Level DDI Engineer to support the operation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) services within a banking environment.The engineer will be responsible for day-to-day DDI operations, incident resolution, performance monitoring, configuration changes, and maintaining a secure and reliable DDI environment.Key Responsibilities- Manage and support enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services.- Configure and maintain DNS zones, records, forwarders, and DNS services.- Configure and manage DHCP scopes, reservations, options, and leases.- Perform IP address allocation, subnet management, and IPAM administration.- Troubleshoot DNS resolution, DHCP, IP conflicts, and network addressing issues.- Monitor DDI services for availability, performance, and capacity.- Perform routine configuration changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.- Support high-availability and redundancy configurations.- Investigate incidents and perform basic root-cause analysis.- Resolve technical issues according to agreed SLA requirements.- Maintain accurate DDI configuration and operational documentation.- Coordinate with Network, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams when required.- Follow ITIL-based incident, change, and problem-management processes.- Apply security and configuration best practices across the DDI environment.- Support DDI migration, implementation, and integration activities when required.- Provide regular operational and incident reports to the technical management team.Required Technical Skills- 3–5 years of experience in Network / Infrastructure Engineering.- Hands-on experience with DNS and DHCP administration.- Practical knowledge of IP Address Management (IPAM).- Good understanding of: - TCP/IP - IPv4 / IPv6 - Subnetting - VLANs - Routing fundamentals - DNS architecture - DHCP architecture- Good troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills.- Experience with enterprise network/infrastructure environments.- Knowledge of DNS/DHCP security and best practices.- Experience with monitoring and ticketing systems.Preferred Skills- Experience with Infoblox, BlueCat, EfficientIP, or another enterprise DDI platform.- Experience with Microsoft DNS/DHCP.- Knowledge of Active Directory and DNS integration.- Basic PowerShell or Python scripting.- Previous experience in banking, financial services, telecom, or other large enterprise environments.- Experience working in an onsite/client-facing support role.Education & Certifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.- CCNA/CCNP or equivalent networking certification is preferred.- DDI vendor certification such as Infoblox or BlueCat is an advantage but not mandatory.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should be a hands-on engineer who can independently handle day-to-day DNS, DHCP, and IPAM operations, troubleshoot incidents, perform configuration changes, and coordinate with other infrastructure teams.The role does not require an architect-level profile; strong practical DDI operational experience and troubleshooting capability are the primary requirements.
