Dean– Faculty of LawPosition OverviewParul University invites applications for the position of Dean–Faculty of Law. The University seeks an accomplished academic leader with extensive experience in legal education, research, academic administration, and institutional development to lead the Faculty of Law towards greater excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and professional engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic LeadershipProvide strategic direction for academic programs, curriculum development, and quality enhancement initiatives.Lead curriculum innovation in line with emerging legal trends, industry requirements, and regulatory frameworks.Promote excellence in teaching, learning, and student outcomes.Strengthen interdisciplinary and experiential learning opportunities, including moot courts, legal aid clinics, internships, and advocacy training.Research & InnovationDevelop and promote a robust research ecosystem within the Faculty.Encourage high-quality research publications, books, patents, funded projects, and policy contributions.Facilitate national and international research collaborations.Establish specialized research centers in emerging areas of legal studies.Faculty DevelopmentLead faculty recruitment, mentoring, performance development, and succession planning.Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous professional development.Encourage faculty participation in conferences, FDPs, seminars, and collaborative research initiatives.Student DevelopmentPromote holistic student growth through academic guidance, professional development, and leadership opportunities.Strengthen student engagement in legal aid activities, competitions, research projects, and community outreach programs.Support initiatives related to placements, internships, and career development.Industry, Judiciary & External RelationsBuild and strengthen partnerships with courts, law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, NGOs, and professional bodies.Facilitate industry-academia interactions, guest lectures, live projects, and collaborative programs.Enhance national and international visibility of the Faculty through strategic collaborations.Accreditation & Quality AssuranceEnsure compliance with BCI, UGC, NAAC, NIRF, and other statutory and regulatory requirements.Lead accreditation, ranking, and quality assurance initiatives.Monitor academic standards and institutional effectiveness through continuous quality improvement measures.Administration & GovernanceProvide leadership in strategic planning, policy formulation, budgeting, and resource management.Coordinate with university leadership and statutory bodies for academic and administrative matters.Drive student enrollment, institutional growth, and academic excellence initiatives.Eligibility CriteriaPh.D. in Law from a recognized University.LL.M. with an excellent academic record.Minimum 15 years of experience in teaching, research, or professional practice in legal education.Minimum 5 years of experience in academic leadership/administrative roles such as Dean, Associate Dean, Principal, Director, Professor, Head of Institution, or equivalent.Significant research contributions, publications, and academic achievements.Proven experience in academic administration, accreditation processes, and institutional development.Application ProcessInterested and eligible candidates are encouraged to apply with their updated CVs through krisha.raval36516@paruluniversity.ac.in
