Associate 1 – Emerging Markets Debt Capital Markets (DCM)An international investment bank is looking to hire an Associate 1 into its Emerging Markets Debt Capital Markets team in Dubai.The successful candidate will support the origination and execution of debt capital markets transactions across MENA and broader emerging markets, working closely with senior bankers, corporate and sovereign coverage teams, syndicate, sales, trading, credit, legal and other product partners.The role will provide exposure to a broad range of issuers, including sovereigns, government-related entities, financial institutions and corporates, across both conventional and, where relevant, Islamic debt markets.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the origination, structuring and execution of DCM transactions across emerging markets.Assist senior bankers with client pitches, financing proposals and transaction presentations.Prepare detailed market updates, credit analysis, investor analysis and debt capital markets materials.Analyse issuer financials, capital structures, debt maturity profiles, leverage and funding requirements.Support senior team members in developing and maintaining relationships with issuers and investors.Candidate Profile2–3 years of investment banking experience, ideally at Analyst level within DCM, Global Capital Markets or a broader Investment Banking team.Strong understanding of debt capital markets and fixed-income products.Experience working on bond issuance and/or debt financing transactions.Strong financial and credit analysis capabilities.Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.Comfortable working with Bloomberg and other capital markets databases.Strong understanding of macroeconomic and market drivers affecting emerging-market debt.
